THE IMAGE OF A TEENAGER IN THE CONTEXT OF NATIONAL AND UNIVERSAL VALUES IN THE WORKS OF ERNEST HEMINGWAY AND GAFUR GHULAM

Abstract

This article examines the image of the teenager in the context of national and universal values in the literary works of Ernest Hemingway and Gafur Ghulam. The study focuses on the representation of young characters, their moral development, worldview, relationships with society, and responses to social and ethical challenges. A comparative analysis demonstrates that, despite significant differences in historical, cultural, and literary contexts, Hemingway and Gafur Ghulam present young people as important representatives of moral and social consciousness. Their works reveal how national identity and universal human values interact in the formation of the younger generation. The article concludes that the literary representation of teenagers serves not only as a reflection of the authors’ societies but also as a means of expressing broader ideas about human character, moral choice, and social responsibility.
