Abstract

This study provides the first comprehensive phytochemical and nutritional evaluation of Phlomoides alaica (Lamiaceae) in Uzbekistan. Field surveys conducted in 2020–2025 confirmed the absence of previously known populations in the Shohimardon area, while a new population of approximately 500 individuals was discovered in the Ungortepa massif, Yangikurgan District, Namangan Region, in 2025. Phytochemical analyses using HPLC revealed water-soluble vitamins and bioactive compounds, including rutin (13.92 mg/g), rosavin (33.72 mg/g), salidroside, and quercetin. These findings expand current knowledge of the species’ distribution and phytochemical profile and provide a basis for further pharmacological, toxicological, and conservation studies.
