Abstract
Urbanization, modernization, and rapid technological developments have contributed to increased awareness and knowledge about various environmental issues among urban young families. Environmental education in schools, mass media campaigns, and widespread discussions in social networks expose city dwellers, especially young adults and families, to a multitude of facts and warnings about environmental degradation, pollution, resource scarcity, and the importance of sustainability. As a result, urban young families today tend to possess a relatively high level of ecological knowledge compared to previous generations. This knowledge includes understanding concepts such as climate change, carbon footprint, the significance of recycling, sustainable consumption, and the consequences of excessive resource use on ecosystems and public health.
