Abstract
This article examines the concept of paralinguistic lacunae and their role in intercultural communication. The study analyzes various paralinguistic means of communication such as intonation, facial expressions, gestures, and pauses, as well as their influence on conveying communicative meaning. Special attention is paid to misunderstandings that arise between representatives of different cultures due to differences in paralinguistic norms. The research also explores the ways of interpreting and overcoming paralinguistic lacunae in the process of intercultural interaction. The findings indicate that paralinguistic lacunae play a significant role in ensuring effective communication and mutual understanding among people from different cultural backgrounds.References
