Abstract

Since many schools use remote learning choices, engagement tactics for classroom education are more crucial than ever. Teachers can assess students' progress, foster a sense of community in the classroom, and keep students engaged on the topic by encouraging classroom interaction. However, integrating engagement tactics into the online platform has proven difficult for many educators. It is possible to adapt several conventional classroom engagement techniques to the online learning environment. In this piece, we outline some classroom engagement techniques, such as Quick, Draw! One Word Splash, Think-Pair-Share, Secret Answer, and Response Cards, and we talk about our own experiences integrating these techniques into the online format. Using Zoom or other video conferencing websites' features, such as breakout rooms, chat capabilities, emojis, and whiteboards, is one way to adapt the online learning environment. All grade levels, from kindergarten through college, can benefit from these tactics. By using these techniques, educators may help students become more engaged, which will boost their self-efficacy and success rates.
