Abstract
This study analyzes the mother concept in Steinbeck and Hoshimovs works through lexical, phraseological, and stylistic units, highlighting its cognitive, emotional-expressive, and pragmatic functions. Comparative analysis reveals both universal and culturally specific representations of motherhood in American and Uzbek literature.
