Abstract

This article examines effective strategies for using monologues as a teaching tool in English language classes for lyceum students. Monologue-based activities play an important role in improving speaking fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary development, and students’ confidence in communication. The study discusses practical classroom techniques that encourage learners to express ideas independently and develop critical thinking skills in English. Particular attention is given to presentations, storytelling, topic-based speeches, and digital learning tools that support oral production. The article also highlights the motivational value of monologue tasks in creating an interactive learning environment. Properly organized monologue activities help students become more active, confident, and communicative English language learners.
