EFFECTIVENESS OF LEARNING ENGLISH THROUGH MOBILE APPLICATIONS

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of learning English through mobile applications as a modern educational approach. With the rapid development of mobile technologies, language learning has shifted from traditional classroom-based instruction to flexible, learner-centered environments. Mobile applications provide accessibility, interactivity, and personalized learning experiences that enhance language acquisition. Recent studies show that mobile learning has a significant positive effect on students’ performance, particularly in vocabulary, listening, and speaking skills. The research analyzes pedagogical benefits, limitations, and practical implications of mobile-assisted language learning. It also evaluates learners’ motivation, engagement, and autonomy. The findings indicate that mobile applications are effective when integrated with structured teaching strategies rather than used independently. However, challenges such as distraction, lack of guidance, and unequal access to technology remain significant issues.
