Abstract
This article examines how cultural-pragmatic features of linguoculturemes are recreated in literary translation from Uzbek into English, with a focus on preserving socially conditioned meanings that exceed denotation. The aim is to model translator decision-making when culture-bound units carry pragmatic force such as politeness, irony, group identity, or evaluative stance. The study applies a qualitative- quantitative design: a parallel-corpus analysis of selected prose fragments, contextual pragmatic annotation, and expert validation of translation solutions.References
