Abstract
This article is dedicated to studying the use of tourism-related terms in English and Uzbek, as well as their characteristics in professional and communicative contexts. The main goal of this study is to analyze tourism terms in English and Uzbek, identify their semantic features, identify similarities and differences in their use, and study translation problems arising in professional speech. Comparative, descriptive, semantic and terminological analysis methods were used in the research process. Tourism dictionaries, textbooks, scientific articles, information from official tourism websites, and authentic tourism documents were selected as the research material. The results obtained show that although many tourism terms are directly borrowed from English into Uzbek, some terms undergo semantic adaptation or are replaced by national lexical equivalents. At the same time, it was found that the degree of use of terms is directly related to their communicative situation, audience, and professional speech requirements.References
