Abstract
Phraseology constitutes a vital component of language, reflecting not only linguistic structure but also human cognition, culture, and emotional experience. This study examines the semantic representation of human emotional and mental states in English phraseological units. The article focuses on how idiomatic expressions encode feelings such as happiness, sadness, anger, and anxiety through metaphorical and culturally grounded language.References
