Abstract
This article analyzes the role, essence, and effectiveness of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) approach and the project-based learning method in the process of teaching technical subjects in higher education institutions. The author substantiates the integration of these two modern pedagogical approaches, highlighting their significance in improving the quality of education and their role in developing students’ creative and analytical thinking skills. Furthermore, the stages of implementing these methods in teaching technical disciplines, along with their advantages and existing challenges (technical infrastructure, methodological preparedness, and assessment systems), are examined. Based on the findings of the study, it is concluded that the integrated application of STEAM and project-based learning is a key factor in enhancing students’ professional competencies and preparing them for a modern technological environment.References
