Abstract
This study highlights the need to shift English for Specific Purposes (ESP) education from a focus on traditional lexical learning to developing "digital pragmatic competence." With the increasing role of AI and virtual collaboration tools in the global economy of 2026, the research identifies a significant "usability gap." While students may achieve strong grammatical accuracy, they often struggle with the subtle communication skills essential for digital workplaces.References
